The modifications
I want to be able to retrofit all the changes so I will need to buy all things which will be modified.
I bought, mainly on eBay:
- Ignition CI-572 (UK Version)
- Carburettor Dell'Orto VHSB-34 (flat-slide)
- An original airbox to modify
- Iridium spark-plug (NGK BR10IEX)
- Carbon reed valves
- New fork seals
- New fork oil (15w)
- Tyga Performance exhaust
The new carburettor:

Compared to the Dell'Orto PHBH-28 the new carb has a huge "air" side with 65mm diameter.
The original airbox will never fit this...
A 65mm silicon pipe with a 45 degrees angle (as used for the car engines) is fitted to
the original airbox and glued with silicon gum.
The new carburettor also need to breath more fresh air...

The three grey pipes are angles for electrical installation but they do the job.
For the “cosmetics” I decided to repair the body parts and to repaint the fairings and rims:
- Body in yellow and black
- Rims in black with yellow rim-stripes
Brake calipers in yellow
- A set of NSR and HRC decals.
I also found the Honda technical and service manual which helps a lot.
Additionally some fine work at the fuel-mix ratio at the barrel-bottom will give some more power.
